Dear Executive Committee Members,
The 50th Executive Committee Meeting of the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA) will be held in June with the aim of reviewing and approving the specified agenda items.
As you are aware, the IFIA Secretariat is required to submit the 2024 Activity Report and Financial Report to the United Nations Secretariat (ECOSOC) and the International Geneva Welcome Centre (CAGI) by June 30th, in order to maintain IFIA’s activity profile and accreditation status.
We would like to inform you that we have previously collected the signatures of the Executive Committee members for the submission of the 2023 report. Therefore, for the 50th Executive Committee Meeting, the signatures of all members who approve the agenda items of this meeting will be included in the final report using the signatures we already have on file.<-
-However, for any Executive Committee members whose signatures are not yet available, we kindly request that you send your signature in PDF, JPG, or PNG format at your earliest convenience to info@ifia.com, so that we may include it in the final submission.

Please find the IFIA Financial Report (Inducing IFIA balance sheets and IFIA Expenses Book) with click on the attached files. This report covers all of IFIA’s Financial throughout the year 2024.

3. Review of Candidates for IFIA Executive Committee (2025–2027)
In preparation for the upcoming structural cycle of the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA), this agenda item addresses the confirmation process for the Executive Committee members for the 2025–2027 term.
A list of nominees has been submitted by IFIA’s official and active members. Following a careful review, the IFIA Secretariat will select the final list of candidates who meet the necessary conditions, including:
1- Valid and official IFIA membership
2- Documented commitment to IFIA’s statutes, policies, and operational standards
3- Verified active participation and reliability
This finalized candidate list will be presented to the Executive Committee for approval by the current IFIA Exco members.
Upon approval, the selected candidates will be included on the official voting agenda of the IFIA General Assembly, which will be held on:
October 17, 2025 – Zagreb, Croatia
The General Assembly will conduct the final vote to elect the new Executive Committee members for the 2025–2027 term.

4. Review of the BRICS Project: IFIA–BRICS Committee Roadmap and Operational Framework
Dear Executive Committee Members,
We respectfully submit for your review and vote the official proposal to establish the BRICS Committee under the supervision of the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA), as presented by the BRICS Academy of Future Skills in Xiamen, China.
Summary of the Proposal:
IFIA–BRICS Committee Roadmap and Operational Framework.
The Committee aims to create a structured platform for innovation, scientific exchange, and technological collaboration among BRICS countries and IFIA members. It is envisioned as a vehicle for expanding IFIA’s global reach, strengthening multilateral ties, and enabling impactful engagement across emerging markets.
Proposed Structure of the Committee:
Chairperson: Dr. Liu Zhenying (Member of the BRICS Business Council, China) will be appointed for a 4-year term. Upon completion of the term, IFIA will initiate a new election process for the next Chairperson.
Vice-Chairpersons: Selected rotationally from the core BRICS countries that are official IFIA members, based on nominations from the Chairperson. The final decision on appointments will rest with IFIA.
Secretariat: Operated by the BRICS Academy of Future Skills, Xiamen
National Representatives: 1–3 delegates per BRICS country
Working Groups: Thematic groups (e.g., innovation standards, competitions, commercialization)
Honorary Chairperson: IFIA President
Operational and Governance Framework under IFIA
As outlined in IFIA’s official conditions:
All operations must align with IFIA’s principles of transparency, neutrality, and scientific integrity.
Biannual performance and financial reports must be submitted to IFIA.
Participation is restricted to official IFIA members.
The Committee must refrain from any political or religious activities.
A shared digital platform shall be implemented for KPI tracking and oversight.
All project and headquarters expenses shall be fully covered by the Chinese BRICS representative and BRICS network.
If the BRICS office diverges from IFIA’s policies or governance resolutions, IFIA reserves the full right to dissolve the office, suspend operations, and revoke recognition.
Implementation Steps Upon Approval
Once approved by the Executive Committee, the following actions will be executed:
Issuance of IFIA’s official certificate of establishment
Appointment of Chair, Vice-Chairs, and national delegates
Signing of an official MoU between IFIA and the BRICS Secretariat
Launch of a dedicated BRICS Committee webpage on IFIA’s site
Execution of Year 1 action items (regional workshops, innovation showcases, BRICS Innovation Fund)

5. Upgrade of India, Yenilik Foundation - Nonprofit organization Membership Status and Suspension of Indian Innovators Association Membership
Decision Required:
Executive Committee vote on the proposed membership upgrade and Downgrade.
Upgrade of India, Yenilik Foundation Membership
Proposal:
To approve the upgrade of India, Yenilik Foundation to Full Member status, in accordance with Articles 10(4), 14, and 16 of the IFIA Statutes.
Background:
India, Yenilik Foundation has formally requested an upgrade of its membership status based on substantial organizational reforms, strategic partnerships, consistent engagement with IFIA activities, and a strong commitment to fulfilling all member responsibilities. The institution has demonstrated readiness to actively participate in General Assemblies, pay annual membership fees, and submit regular activity reports.
Downgrade of Indian Innovators Association Membership to Corresponding Member
Proposal:
To downgrade the membership status of Indian Innovators Association to Corresponding Member, in accordance with Articles 10(4), 14, and 16 of the IFIA Statutes regarding member classification and compliance.
Background:
Indian Innovators Association has failed to meet its core obligations as an IFIA member. Specifically:
Lack of cooperation or engagement with IFIA over the past two years
Failure to pay annual membership fees for three consecutive years
Organizing events under the IFIA name without prior coordination or approval from the IFIA Secretariat
Despite multiple official reminders, the association has not taken corrective action. These ongoing violations are inconsistent with IFIA’s standards, responsibilities, and expectations of active membership.
Decision Required:
Executive Committee vote on the proposed downgrade Indian Innovators Association Full Membership to Corresponding Membership and Upgrade of India, Yenilik Foundation Corresponding Membership to Full Membership.
6. Inform the IFIA Executive Committee about the change of the IFIA Executive Committee member representing Croatia.
Background:
According to an official letter received from the Croatian Union of Innovation, the organization has formally informed the IFIA Secretariat that Mr. Leo will replace Mr. Zoran Baric as the official representative of Croatia in the IFIA Executive Committee.
Decision Required:
Acknowledgment and Approve the changing representative of Croatia in the current IFIA Executive Committee.
7. Organizational and Logistical Arrangements for IFIA General Assembly Meeting – October 17, 2025


The IFIA General Assembly meeting is scheduled to take place on October 17th, 2025, from 16:00 to 18:00, followed by a dinner reception.
