KIWIE 2024 – Goyang, KINTEX, Republic of Korea
From June 20 to June 22, the 17th Korea International Women’s Invention Exposition (KIWIE) took place at Hall 3, Exhibition Center 1, KINTEX in Goyang, South Korea. Organized by the Korea Women Inventors Association (KWIA) with the cooperation of the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO), the event successfully highlighted and celebrated the remarkable achievements of women inventors from around the globe.
This year’s KIWIE featured 400 innovative inventions and patent technologies developed by women from 20 countries, including Poland, Peru, Sri Lanka, Russia, Iran, Thailand, China, and many others. The expo provided a unique platform for these talented female inventors to present their groundbreaking work, foster international exchange, and establish a robust global network.
The “IP Wave for Creative Women Leaders 2024” session was a standout feature of the event. Held on June 21, this program empowered women inventors with advanced knowledge in intellectual property (IP) and innovation. Esteemed instructors from WIPO and South Korea delivered comprehensive sessions on various topics, such as global industrial market trends, the significance of IP, WIPO’s IP support policies, strategies for entering global markets, and inspiring success stories of women leaders in IP.
