Vietnamese Institute and Indian Chapter of Global Innovation Federation Join Forces to Drive Startup Growth in Southeast Asia
Hanoi, Vietnam – In a move to propel Vietnam to the forefront of Southeast Asian innovation and startups, the Research Institute of Creative Education (RICE) and the Institute of Innovation Research and Attribute Verification (RIVA) in Hanoi have signed a groundbreaking Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IFIA Bharat, the Indian chapter of the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA). This strategic partnership, facilitated by Startup Global Connect, unites Vietnamese educational excellence with a worldwide network of inventors and entrepreneurs.
RICE is a subsidiary of RIVA, a member of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA) under the Vietnamese Ministry of Science and Technology.
The MoU outlines several key initiatives designed to strengthen Vietnam’s innovation landscape.
Dr. Nguyễn Hoàng Giang and Anand Kannan signed the agreement, which focuses on:
- Expanding IFIA’s Reach in Vietnam: With the backing of IFIA Bharat, RIVA will play a pivotal role in amplifying IFIA’s initiatives within Vietnam, offering crucial support to Vietnamese innovators and entrepreneurs.
- Fostering Innovation Hubs: The collaboration will drive the establishment of incubators and tinkering labs across Vietnam. These facilities will nurture young minds, equip them with the skills to innovate, and provide a platform to transform their ideas into successful businesses.
- Showcasing Innovation and Connecting Investors: The MoU paves the way for organizing innovation showcases in Vietnam, providing Vietnamese startups with a platform to connect with potential investors and a global audience. Additionally, “Funders Connect” programs will bridge the gap between startups and potential investors.
- Positioning Vietnam as a Southeast Asian Innovation Hub: The partnership aims to solidify Vietnam’s position as a central hub for driving innovation and startups in Southeast Asia. By leveraging IFIA’s global network, Vietnamese startups will gain access to international markets and collaboration opportunities.
- Cross-Border Collaboration: The MoU facilitates collaboration between Vietnamese startups and their counterparts in other countries through IFIA’s network. This exchange of ideas and expertise will fuel the development of groundbreaking solutions.
- Building a Nationwide Ecosystem: The partnership extends beyond Hanoi, aiming to connect with stakeholders across Vietnam. This collaborative approach will ensure the creation of a robust innovation and startup ecosystem throughout the country.
