Empowering Youth to Achieve Sustainable Development: A Milestone for Innovation in Iraq and Mauritania
Under the inspiring slogan “Empowering Youth to Achieve Sustainable Development”, the First Iraqi International Inventors and Innovators Society (IRAQ-IIIS) Exhibition concluded with remarkable success. This significant event was organized in conjunction with the Second International Conference “Mauritania Towards the Summit”, bringing together inventors, researchers, and innovators from across the globe.
The International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA) was honored to participate as a success partner, reaffirming its commitment to fostering global collaboration in invention and innovation. The exhibition featured an impressive showcase of 70 academic research projects and 36 pioneering inventions and innovations from a diverse range of countries, including Iraq, Mauritania, Egypt, Jordan, Algeria, Syria, Libya, Sudan, Morocco, Tunisia, Yemen, and the United States.

The closing ceremony, held on July 5, 2025 in the Republic of Iraq, was a vibrant celebration of creativity and achievement. In the presence of distinguished dignitaries, including the Iraqi Chargé d’Affaires in Mauritania, inventors and innovators were honored with medals and official certificates of participation, recognizing their valuable contributions to advancing science, technology, and societal progress.
The event garnered widespread media coverage and captured the attention of officials, industry leaders, and the public alike. One of the most significant outcomes was the adoption of key recommendations aimed at strengthening joint cooperation agreements between relevant institutions in Iraq and Mauritania. These agreements are expected to create new opportunities for the sponsorship, support, and promotion of invention and creativity in both nations.
By uniting talents from different countries and encouraging collaborative initiatives, the IRAQ-IIIS Exhibition and the Mauritania Towards the Summit Conference have set a new benchmark for international scientific exchange. The event not only celebrated existing achievements but also paved the way for a shared vision of sustainable development led by youth innovation.
