Silicon Valley International Invention Festival 2019 report

Silicon Valley International Invention Festival (SVIIF) 2019 commence in Santa Clara Convention Center on June 24th and lasted for 3 consecutive days. SVIIF2019 was organize by Geneva’s Exhibition and Congress Center (PALEXPO), host by International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA), supported by World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Mayor of Santa Clara and Santa Clara University with the collaboration of the Structural Engineering Institute (SEI).

SVIIF 2019 created an excellent opportunity for over 200 inventors from 30 countries including South Korea, China, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, Poland, Ghana, Canada, Thailand, USA, Egypt, UAE, Iraq, Iran, Croatia, Vietnam, Hungary, Germany, Turkey, Switzerland, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Kuwait, Morocco, United Kingdom and Russia to showcase their inventions, innovative projects and technologies in various field of science and technology.
Such outstanding figures as Ms. Lisa Gilmor, Mayor of Santa Clara, Mr. Alireza Rastegar, IFIA President, Mr. John Calvert, SVIIF Jury President , Mr. Amin Ghafooripour, Santa Clara University Professor, SVIIF Advisor and Mr.Tamara Nanayakkara counselor SME’s and entrepreneurship support division representing WIPO delivered keynote speeches in the opening ceremony on June24th.

The same day,SVIIF Jury Board was composed of 30 professional juries from International side and the American organizations and entities of importance including United inventors association of America ,Santa Clara University and Structural Engineering Institute (SEI) who evaluated the showcased innovations on the first two days of the event.

The next day, a workshop was arranged alongside the event with the title of “Intellectual Property (IP) by WIPO providing an overview of intellectual property types.

Finally, the Awards Ceremony commenced in the afternoon of June 26th with the participation of VIPs and special awards from Consulate General of Switzerland in San Francisco ,Mayor of Santa Clara City, Santa Clara University,IFIA, PALEXPO, WIPO, as well as Grand Prix , City of Santa Clara Awards , WIPO awards , Geneva inventions Award, IFIA Awards and 10 international prizes were granted to the best innovations displayed in the event.

SVIIF 2020 is planned to be held from 22 to 24 June 2020. We do hope to witness your participation in our event.
