Successful Outcome for IPITEx on Thailand Inventors’ Day 2025
2025 Bangkok International Intellectual Property, Invention, Innovation and Technology Exposition (IPITEx) in “Thailand Inventors’ Day 2025”
The 26th Thailand Inventors’ Day, organized by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, was successfully held from February 2 to 6, 2025, at BITEC Bangna, Bangkok. The event, showcased groundbreaking inventions and fostered international collaboration, attracting over 25,000 visitors and featuring more than 2,000 local Thai inventions alongside 600 international innovations from across the globe.
Grand Opening Ceremony
Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously presided over the official opening ceremony on February 2, 2025, and bestowed the National Research Awards to distinguished recipients. The event serves as a tribute to the historical significance and royal patronage of Thai inventions and innovation.
The opening ceremony also featured keynote speeches from Ms. Supamas Isarabhakdi, Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, Dr. Wiparat De-ong, Executive Director of NRCT, and Mr. Alireza Rastegar, President of the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA), who praised Thailand’s leadership in fostering global innovation.
Youth Inventors and the Thailand New Gen Inventors Award 2025
One of the highlights of Thailand Inventors’ Day 2025 was the Youth Inventors’ Competitions, where primary school students, secondary school students, vocational schools, and university-level innovators presented over 1,000 inventive projects in the Thailand New Gen Inventors Award (I-New Gen) & I-New Gen Junior Award 2025. This platform continues to be a driving force in inspiring and nurturing young talent, offering them the opportunity to develop their creativity and contribute to technological advancements.
The competition not only provided young inventors with exposure to industry professionals and international innovators but also strengthened collaborations between educational institutions, research organizations, and private sectors. The winners were recognized for their contributions to fields such as AI and robotics, sustainability, medical technology, and smart solutions, reinforcing Thailand’s commitment to fostering the next generation of inventors.
International Participation and Innovation Exchange
On February 3, 2025, the Bangkok International Intellectual Property, Invention, and Technology Exposition (IPITEx 2025) welcomed international delegations to enhance global cooperation in scientific research and technological advancements.
The event served as a prestigious platform for cross-border collaborations, strengthening ties between Thai and international innovators.
Dr. Wiparat De-ong emphasized NRCT’s dedication to fostering international cooperation, facilitating an exchange of knowledge, and ensuring sustainable partnerships between inventors from various regions. Mr. Alireza Rastegar, President of IFIA, commended NRCT for its outstanding organization and highlighted IPITEx as a key global event for inventors and researchers worldwide.
Award Ceremony and Recognition of Excellence
The event culminated on February 6, 2025, with the IPITEx 2025 Award Ceremony, where Dr. Wiparat De-ong presided over the proceedings alongside esteemed representatives from NRCT and distinguished international delegates. Inventors from diverse backgrounds were recognized for their contributions, with winners receiving NRCT Special Awards, IFIA Awards, and Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals.
Among the notable winners of the IFIA Award were:
• Kanogwun Thongchote, Panda Chainiramol, Naphat Sukheebot, Bonbua Khunwattana from Srinakharinwirot University, Thailand, for their invention “My Lung AR: An Innovative 3D Augmented Reality Application for Learning Respiratory Anatomy.”
• FIRE UNIVERSITY, Poland, for their innovative project “Development of an Integrated System for Collecting and Processing Rescue Knowledge for Fire Protection and Civil Safety.”
In total, 30 NRCT Special Awards and medal prizes were presented, recognizing the outstanding contributions of inventors from 22 countries, including Canada, China, Taiwan, Croatia, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Laos, Macao, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Poland, Romania, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and Vietnam.
