About RICE

Institute of Innovation Research and Attribute Verification (RIVA)

RIVA is a scientific and technological organization established in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Science and Technology of Viet Nam, and is a member of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA) — the national umbrella organization representing scientific and technical associations in Viet Nam.

Objectives

In its operations, RIVA works closely with RICE (Research Institute of Creative Education), an organization operating in the field of creative education. RICE is co-founded and directly managed by Dr. Nguyen Hoang Giang, and operates under the state management framework of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training and the Ministry of Education and Training of Viet Nam.
RICE has been an IFIA member since 2019 and has actively participated in IFIA-related programs over the years. Together, RIVA and RICE have jointly organized numerous training programs, capacity-building activities, assessments, and international connections, pursuing shared values aligned with those of IFIA, including:
  • Creating opportunities for inventors, students, and young talents to connect, learn, and develop their potential;
  • Promoting sustainable development by encouraging inventions aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs);
  • Raising public awareness of the importance of creativity, innovation, and intellectual property;
  • Advancing technological progress through the development of new technical and technological solutions.

Partnership

RICE is an organization which cooperates with VNU- National University in Vietnam and works with Ministry of Education and Education departments of cities in Vietnam. Besides, RICE is the exclusive representative in Vietnam of Center for IOT Innovation National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (CITI), Hanyang University (Korea Institution of Art and Technology), The George Washington University, Tokyo University, Asian Science & Mathematics Olympiad (ASMO) and Southeast Asia Mathematical Olympiad (SEAMO). RICE has co-operated with several international organizations: Korea University Invention Association (KUIA); Indonesian Invention and Innovation Promotion Association (INNOPA); Malaysian Science, Technology and Innovation Organization (ASTI). Currently, as a country representative, we are carrying out Asian Science & Mathematics Olympiad (ASMO) and Southeast Asia Mathematical Olympiad (SEAMO) with thousands students throughout Vietnam.
