NASR’s Delegations Won 11 Medals in International Invention Events 2022
11 medals for NASRs delegations in five international exhibitions during 2022 and organization of SIT 2022
As part of NASRs strategy, which is based on encouraging inventors to highlight their capabilities and commercialize their innovations, NASR supports the participation of inventors and innovators in international exhibitions, whether by registering the necessary patent or by sponsoring participation in international exhibitions. In this context, NASR sponsored the participation of many inventors in five international exhibitions, in presence and remotely, and they won 11 medals, 8 golds and 3 silvers, in addition to many awards.
At the Malaysian International Technology Exhibition (MTE 2022), which ran from March 26 to April 1, 2022, the students of the New Third Intermediate School, Maya Bdeir, Khimkan Omar, Ali Shehab, and Lana Al-Fata, under the supervision of Professor Ahmed Al-Masry, won a gold medal with virtual participation through the invention of UV Warrior, which competed with dozens of Inventions from around the world.
In the European Exhibition of Inventions (EuroInvent 2022), which ran between May 26 to 27, 2022, NASRs delegation won two gold medals, and this participation was online with two inventions out of 400 inventions from 20 different countries. The first gold medal was also won by the invention of the UV Warrior. While the second gold medal was won by Insect Monitor innovation for students Ahmed Harb, Hussein Marwa, Yasmina Hayek, Batoul Zaher, trainer Hussein Harb under the supervision of Professor Hani Alloush.
In International Inventions and innovation competition in Canada ICAN 2022, which took place on August 27 remotely, with the participation of 700 inventions from 81 countries, Lebanon won three gold medals. The first medal was also won by the “INSECT MONITOR” project, in addition to the Canadian International Society Award for Innovation and Skills Development. The second medal was won by the project “Protecting Trout Eggs” by the two students Aseel Muhanna and Aya Al-Khalil, under the supervision of Ms. Zainab Kwik from Al-Batoul High School, in addition to the Macau Society Award for Innovation and Invention. In addition to the gold medal, the “BRAKT” project by the innovator Muhammad Baqer Obaid won the Indonesian Association for Invention and Innovation Development award.
In the 72nd International Industrial Exhibition of Inventions and Innovations “iENA 2022”, which took place in Nuremberg, Germany between November 27 and 30, 2022, and in which nearly 600 innovations and inventions from dozens of industrialized countries participated, Lebanon won a gold and a silver medal. The innovation that won the gold medal, in the youth category, was “Cancer Lives Among Us”, by students Fatima Zogheib, Bushra Youssef, Rehana Sinan, under the supervision of Ms. Nada Hammadi and Mr. Hussein Hajj Hassan. It also received a Certificate of Excellence from the Turkish Patent and Invention Office Turk Patent. The innovation that won the silver medal, in the startups category, is Smart Contract Witness by the innovator Ali Audi and Senal Company. It also won the exhibition medal of the Portuguese Inventors Association.
In the Indonesia International Invention Fair 2022 (IID 2022), which took place between November 28 and 31, two innovations participated remotely, and we were able to win a gold medal and two silver medals out of 277 scientific projects submitted by more than two thousand inventors from 22 different countries. The gold medal winning project is a medicine from natural Lebanese pomegranate peels for innovators Dr. Hadeel Kassem, Dr. Raoua Abdel Jaber, Dr. AA Al-Rikabi, Dr. M Nasser, Dr. Anis Daou, Dr. Akram Hegazy, M. Saleh from the Doctoral Higher Institute of Technology at the Lebanese University. The first silver medal was won by the cobot project for students Jad Jabr, Omar Akkawi, Asaad Al-Rajab, and Adam Al-Farkh, under the supervision of Mr. Ahmed Al-Masry from Jamil Al-Rawas Official Secondary School for Boys. The second silver medal was won by the innovation of The Fras System for students Adam Mansour, Ahmed Bakdash, Saeed Al-Garhi, under the supervision of Professor Ahmed Al-Masry from Tariq Al-Jadida Third Intermediate School.
