Acknowledgment: Congratulations on being one of the pioneer innovators who have obtained the IFIA Innovation Standard certificate (IIS).
Following your inquiry for an IIS certification, the jury board evaluated your application according to the criteria. And after the assessment and examinations, your innovation was granted with IFIA Innovation Standard Grade C.
IFIA hopes that by having this certification, you will take an essential step in the commercialization of your innovation. Also, by entering international markets, you can contribute to the realization of the global slogan: Generating wealth through innovative knowledge.
The Summary of Innovation:
Saffron or red gold in addition to numerous properties and applications in food and pharmaceutical industries also has a lot of economic value, so proper packaging to increase shelf life and maintain its quality is very important that the use of nanotechnology is a positive step in this area. In this design, silver nanoparticles that have antimicrobial properties along with titanium dioxide have been used.
Nowadays, metal particles are used in polymers used in food packaging to improve mechanical and antimicrobial properties. By reducing the size of particles to the nanometer level, their surface activity increases. As a result, the adsorption rate of these materials as antimicrobial material increases with the environment. Metals in the form of solid nanoparticles or metal oxides can be combined in different types of polymeric materials. In Nano-packaging coatings, silver is the most antibacterial property against metal cations among various metal cations.
The product is a nano-packaging coating that is produced for food packaging with nanosilver particles. In addition to increasing the shelf life of food and preserving the organoleptic properties (aroma, taste, color) of the material, this product leads to the prevention of spoilage.
The distinguishing part of this product is the production of Nano packing coatings based on titanium oxide Nano catalyst, which greatly increases the antibacterial property. In general, titanium dioxide is a cheap material with high efficiency and also preserves maximum nutrients., Freshness and reduced microbial load are packed in food. Titanium dioxide can kill gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Also, due to its bright color and resistance to UV rays, this compound is widely used today for food packaging. Due to the importance of dioxide Titanium, its application as Nano will increase the mentioned properties. Therefore, this adds to the importance of using titanium Nano dioxide in the production of this packaging.
Why is this innovation eligible to receive the IIS certification?
With respect to the uniqueness of the product in the food science and engineering industry and the particular production technology, which is already registered in the US patent, the possibility of introducing and importing this valuable product to the EU countries can be achieved, provided that the product’s standard innovation is confirmed.
Moreover, twelve years of research activities at university and several related research institutes in the field of nanotechnology has led to high productivity and product’s efficient convert ability.
