KIPA President | IFIA Congress
The new President of Korea Invention Promotion Association (KIPA), Lee Joon-seok, was invited to participate in IFIA World Congress organized alongside Istanbul International Invention Fair (ISIF) on March 4, 2016.
Korea Invention Promotion Association (KIPA), established in 1994, promotes intellectual property and expands patent management support. KIPA provides a ONE-STOP service that offers assistance from the early stages of inventions to commercialization. Moreover, KIPA trains human resources to handle intellectual property issues in the age of globalization.
Lee Joon-seok was among the international speakers of IFIA World Congress. He initially highlighted the core activities of KIPA and its contribution to the nationwide proliferation of invention spirit. The organization of such events as the National Invention Day since 1957, Korea invention patent Exhibition and Seoul International Invention Fair raises awareness about the importance of innovation.
Afterwards, he illustrated the role that KIPA has played in the commercialization of inventions by developing business models and maximizing the value of IP by transaction.
IFIA President, Alireza Rastegar and Lee Joon-seok held a meeting to discuss the potential for future cooperation between IFIA and KIPA. KIPA President expressed his satisfaction for his presence in IFIA event and meeting IFIA President. He highly welcomed the cooperation opportunity and stated “I look forward to receiving your suggestions for establishing bilateral cooperation”.
