Condolences on Prince Joel Shaka Momodu’s Departure

It is with deep regret to announce the unexpected death of Prince Joel Shaka Momodu, Association of Nigerian Inventors’ President and IFIA Executive Committee member. International Federation of Inventors’ Associations conveys sincere condolences on this tragic loss to all IFIA members, the society of Nigerian inventors and his esteemed family.

Each of us not only grieves at the passing of a tremendous individual but also for the loss his family suffers. We all know the attempts he has made for over 30 years to promote innovation in Africa and contribute to IFIA as a dedicated representative of IFIA African Network. His departure means the loss of a champion and father of innovation in Africa. Words are not enough to express the heartfelt sorrow we feel for not having him in IFIA family.

He planned to organize Nigeria International Invention and Innovation Fair 2017 to broaden public understanding about invention and innovation in Africa to assist the African inventors display their achievements. His constant efforts for raising the status of African inventors will be always remembered in our thoughts.
