The 10th Chakshumathi Eyes-Free Science and Entrepreneurship Camp Concludes with an Inspiring Closing Ceremony & the Launch of the 1st IFIA Subchapter in Andhra Pradesh
Anantapur, Bangalore, August 27, 2023 – The 10th Chakshumathi Eyes-Free Science and Entrepreneurship Camp, organized in collaboration with the Rural Development Trust School of Inclusive Education, reached its conclusion on August 26, 2023.
Spanning from August 21st to 26th, the week-long event witnessed a remarkable convergence of aspiring young minds, educators, innovators, and entrepreneurs, with almost 90% of the participants being differently-abled. The closing ceremony of the camp took place on August 26th at the Atal Incubation Centre – Sri Krishnadevaraya University (AIC-SKU), Anantapur. Throughout this year’s camp, a plethora of sessions and workshops were conducted, fostering an exceptional environment where participants engaged in hands-on learning, brainstorming sessions, and interactions with industry experts. The camp’s dual focus on science and entrepreneurship aimed to instill a comprehensive understanding of innovation and its practical applications.
In conjunction with the closing ceremony, several significant initiatives were unveiled:
1. Inauguration of the International Federation of Inventors Association (IFIA), Bharat Office: As part of the ceremony, the Bharat office of the International Federation of Inventors Association was inaugurated at AIC-SKU by differently-abled children. This establishment marks a pivotal step towards fostering international collaborations and promoting innovation on a global scale. IFIA Bharat has also committed to granting honorary membership to 10 differently-abled innovators. If their ideas prove to be commercially viable, they will receive support through our IFIA Startups department, AIC SKU, and Avas Digitech.
2. Partnership with SIMSY Ventures: AIC-SKU has forged a strategic partnership with SIMSY Ventures, a pioneering entity equipped with an AI-driven platform tailored for innovators, startups, mentors, and other stakeholders. This collaboration is poised to catalyze the growth of entrepreneurial ventures by leveraging cutting-edge technology.
3. Introduction of CatchLabs: CatchLabs, an edtech startup dedicated to enhancing skills and knowledge among school student tinkerers, was introduced during the ceremony. Their efforts align seamlessly with the camp’s overarching goals of nurturing young talent and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
The closing ceremony served as a fitting culmination of a week filled with transformative experiences and collaborative endeavors. Representatives from the organizing team, educational institutions, and partner organizations were present to celebrate the achievements and prospects arising from this event.
