IFIA Endorses Participation in InnovaCities 2026 and BRICS Innovation Competitions in Brazil
The International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA) is pleased to announce and support the participation of innovators, inventors, researchers, startups, entrepreneurs, and academic institutions in the 15th InnovaCities – International Fair of Smart, Joyful, Humane and Resilient Cities, scheduled to take place from 15–18 September 2026 in Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná, Brazil.
Organized by the IFIA-ABIPIR LATAM Office and the BRICS Cooperation Hub, the event marks the 15th anniversary of InnovaCities and will host three major international competitions:
- 15th Regenerative Innovations Competition
- 2nd LATAM BRICS Technological Innovation Competition
- 1st BRICS Video Competition
The competitions are organized in partnership with the BRICS Academy (Xiamen, China) and are officially endorsed by IFIA.
ABIPIR Founder and President Mr. Marcelo Vivacqua, together with IFIA President Mr. Alireza Rastegar, invite innovators from around the world to showcase their solutions that address real-world challenges and contribute to sustainable development, technological advancement, and social impact.
Participation is available both in person and online, and all applications are free of charge.
Event Venue and Schedule
The event will be held simultaneously with the Iguassu Valley Summit 2026 “Click Here“
The evaluation sessions of the BRICS Technological Innovation Competition will take place at Uniguaçu College (Click Here) on 15–16 September 2026, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Public presentations will be conducted at Quinta das Marias Event Center (Click Here) on 17–18 September 2026, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
The official opening ceremony will be held on 17 September, while the closing and awards ceremony will take place on 18 September 2026.

Opportunities for Evaluators and Volunteers
Experts interested in serving as evaluators for the BRICS Technological Innovation Competition are invited to register and indicate their areas of expertise. Supporting academic or professional credentials should be submitted to: marcelo-vivacqua@hotmail.com
Individuals interested in supporting the event as English-language communication facilitators are also encouraged to contact the same email address.
