IFIA-ABIPIR Office participates at the online conference: “Future Frontiers: Climate Resilience, Energy Geopolitics & Innovation Pathways for a Sustainable World”
The IFIA-ABIPIR Office actively participated in the international online conference titled “Future Frontiers: Climate Resilience, Energy Geopolitics & Innovation Pathways for a Sustainable World.” During the session, Mr. Marcelo Vivacqua, Founder and President of ABIPIR the Brazil International Innovative Inventors, Scientists and Entrepreneurs Association, and Director of IFIA presented a comprehensive methodology designed to accelerate the development of the new climate economy. His presentation, “Innovation Pathways for Energy, Mobility, and Resilience,” highlighted actionable strategies for transforming innovative ideas into impactful solutions.
Mr. Vivacqua emphasized that this methodology is fully aligned with the policies of IFIA under the leadership of its President, Mr. Alireza Rastegar, who continues to champion global efforts encouraging inventors and entrepreneurs to apply their creativity and technical expertise toward addressing the world’s most urgent challenges.
IFIA extends its sincere gratitude to Dr. Mamta Awasthi, Associate Professor at the Centre for Energy Studies of the National Institute of Technology; Mr. Akarshak Bose, Event Coordinator; and Mr. Anand Kannan, Director of IFIA-Bharat, for their honorable invitation and valuable collaboration.
A Strategic Approach to Overcoming the Innovation “Valley of Death”
The IFIA-ABIPIR LATAM Office is leading a transformative initiative to close the gap between groundbreaking ideas and real-world implementation in the context of climate change. This effort is rooted in a deep understanding of the challenges known as the “Innovation Valley of Death,” where promising concepts in energy, mobility, and resilience often stall due to funding shortages, intellectual property hurdles, or difficulties entering commercial markets.
For over 14 years, ABIPIR has served as the official Brazilian representative of the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA), working tirelessly to democratize innovation and transform the climate crisis into an opportunity for sustainable and inclusive growth.
Building a Global Innovation Ecosystem
The IFIA-ABIPIR network offers far more than technical support it creates a connected ecosystem that brings together inventors, corporations, investors, academia, and government. This collaborative environment ensures that valuable ideas do not remain isolated or confined to local communities but instead have the opportunity to scale globally.
For independent creators with prototypes in hand, this ecosystem serves as a vital bridge across the “Valley of Death,” providing the resources, expertise, and global visibility required to contribute effectively to the emerging climate economy.
