IFIA General Assembly: Thirty- Second Session
On 20 November 2014, the first part of IFIA General Assembly was organized in Kunshan, China, V204 Expo Center from 13:30 to 20:00.
Agenda

1. Calling of the delegates by the President The following delegations of IFIA full members (with voting right) were present and IFIA President declared the meeting open.

2. Amendment of the Statutes IFIA president presented the amendment of status and 9 members voted YES and 20 members NO for this amendment. So the amendment of IFIA statutes was not accepted by General Assembly.

3. Report of Mr. Andras Vedres Mr. Vedres reported about all the activities of IFIA in time of his presidency from 2006 to 2014 and all the General Assembly’s members accepted it and congratulated him for his work.
Mr. Vedres asked the members of General Assembly to decide whether to vote on one proposed president candidate from ExCo or more than one. 17 members voted YES and 13 members NO, so the General Assembly should decide between three proposed candidates.

4. Election of President Mr. Adam Rylski resigned from the president candidacy and General Assembly also decided that voting should be secret. The candidates for the president were Mr. Zhang Qin from China and Mr. Alireza Rastegar from Iran.
Criteria for the new president’s personality: 1. Who can well represent an international NGO as like the IFIA 2. International prestige 3. International acceptance 4. IFIA work background 5. Inventor activity (it is indicated by espacenet database) 6. Innovation activity (valuable results on world market) 7. Good English writing and speaking 8. NGO leadership practice 9. Support of the IFIA organization in own country 10.Guarantee for financial support for IFIA office by Governmental site
12 members of General Assembly voted for Mr. Zhang Qin and 16 members voted for Mr. Alireza Rastegar and two votes were invalid. So the next president of IFIA from 2014 to 2018 is Mr. Alireza Rastegar. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Part 2
The second part of IFIA General Assembly was organized in Kunshan, China, RAMADA hotel on 21 November from 18:30 to 20:30.
1- Calling of the delegates by the new President
IFIA President, Alireza Rastegar stated that this meeting is standard IFIA General Assembly and it is open.The following delegates of IFIA full members (with voting right) were present from:

Mr. Vladimir Petriasov (Russian delegate) pointed out that Executive Committee members have to present their activity to Executive Committee meetings. Executive Committee members are required to be present at least in one Executive Committee meeting per year, otherwise they will endanger their membership.
3- Mr. President proposed to change the IFIA website address from www.invention-ifia.ch to www.ifia.com and proposal was unanimously approved by General Assembly delegates.
4- General Assembly has decided to open five IFIA Office branches in different parts of the world.
5- General Assembly is required to send their amendment proposals of the IFIA Statutes to the IFIA office (info[at]ifia.com) before the first of March 2015.
6- General Assembly has approved Mr. President’s proposal to publish the IFIA magazine.
7- Mr. President has proposed to support the women and young inventors and ask from General Assembly to send their programs in this regard.
8- Mr. Lennart Nilsson (Sweden delegate) has introduced the “Technology Transfer Center” of the IFIA that will have an office in Stockholm. Proposal was unanimously approved.
9- Mr. Vedres declared his resignation from IFIA membership and it was not disagreed by the members.
10- All IFIA members have to send their proposal of the activities that are going to be accomplished in 2015 to the IFIA office (info[at]ifia.com) before the first of February 2015.
11- All IFIA members have to send their association local registration to the IFIA office (info[at]ifia.com) before the first of February 2015. (In English)
12- The next Executive Committee meeting will be held in Geneva, Switzerland connected to Geneva inventions salon 2015.
13- The next General Assembly meeting will be held in Nuremberg, Germany connected to iENA 2016.
