WIPO's Continued Support for SVIIF 2026
The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) has reaffirmed its support for the Silicon Valley International Invention Festival (SVIIF 2026) through an official written and video message from Mr. Marco M. Alemán, Assistant Director General of WIPO, and by designating five WIPO Awards to be presented during the Festival. These initiatives reflect WIPO’s continued commitment to promoting innovation and its longstanding collaboration with the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA).
Marco M. Alemán Delivers an Official Message
In his official written and video message, Mr. Marco M. Alemán congratulated IFIA on organizing SVIIF 2026 and emphasized the Festival’s role as an international platform that connects inventors, innovators, entrepreneurs, investors, and intellectual property stakeholders from around the world.
He highlighted WIPO’s continued efforts to strengthen innovation through its global intellectual property ecosystem, including the Technology and Innovation Support Centers (TISCs), the WIPO INSPIRE platform, IP analytics, and the Inventor Assistance Program (IAP). Mr. Alemán also acknowledged IFIA’s longstanding contribution to supporting inventors worldwide and expressed his best wishes for the success of SVIIF 2026.

Five WIPO Awards to Be Presented at SVIIF 2026
In addition to the official message, WIPO has designated five WIPO Awards that will be presented during SVIIF 2026. The certificates, signed by Mr. Daren Tang, Director General of WIPO, recognize outstanding achievements in five categories:
- WIPO Award for Creativity
- WIPO Award for Inventors
- WIPO Award for Enterprises
- WIPO Award for WIPO Users
- WIPO Award for Schoolchildren
The certificates confirm that the awards will be presented during the Silicon Valley International Invention Festival (SVIIF 2026), organized by the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA) in Santa Clara, California, USA, on August 16, 2026.
