About China Association of Inventions
The China Association of Inventions (CAl) was established on October 16,1985 in Beijing, China, initiated by 135 Chinese famous scientists, inventors and social celebrities from various fields and all works of life. CAl is committed to mobilizing the enthusiasm of the masses for invention, innovation and entrepreneurship, guiding and promoting mass invention and entrepreneurship, popularizing knowledge of innovation, discovering and supporting talents as well as safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of inventors. CAl is known as the “Home of Inventors”.
About IEI 2026
Theme： Invention and Innovation to Build High-Quality Development
The exhibition will set up Areas for “New Quality Productivity Development”, “Higher Education and Research Achievements”, “Invention Achievements of Innovative Master Craftsmen”, “Green Production and New Material Innovations” and “Youth Talent Invention and Innovation” etc. to showcase Chinese and international excellent achievements of science and technology. The participants of the exhibition would be the invention and innovation institutions, international organizations, industry associations, universities, research institutes, innovative enterprises and others from various countries and regions around the world. The International Forum and “The Belt & Road and BRICS Competition of Skills Development and Technology Innovation” will be held concurrently. The 11th International Exhibition of Inventions attracted over 300 guests from 23 countries regions, and international organizations, showcasing nearly 2500 domestic and foreign invention achievements.

Who can participate?
Inventors, makers, teachers and students, researchers, innovative enterprises, patent offices, IP information providers, venture investors, maker service providers ( maker spaces, open source hardware providers, hardware accelerators and crowd funding websites ) technology transfer organizations, and IP-related institutions, national and local associations and organizations of inventors, government institutes, etc.

Class A: Mechanism and Electric Machinery
General machinery,construction engineering machinery, agricultural machinery, mechanical devices, boiler manufacturing, machining processes and tooling fixtures.

Class B: Electronics and Instrumentation:
The R&D and manufacturing technology of software and hardware for electronic information and networks,wired and wireless communication, office automation, Chinese character coding and automatic control, instruments and meters, as well as related equipment, materials, wires, cable components, etc. Computer and Electrical Engineering.

Class C: Medicine, Food, Cosmetics and Health Care
Pharmaceuticals, medical devices,medical methods, bioengineering and health products, food and other related products as well as their processing, manufacturing, packaging equipment and industrial technology.

Inventions of youth under the age of 18 including projects for primary and secondary school students.
