WIPO and IFIA Help Inventors to Settle IP Disputes
In consequence of the cooperation between IFIA and WIPO, which has been entered into a new phase since 2015, now is the time to familiarize the inventors of IFIA member countries with the valuable services of WIPO Alternative Dispute Resolution. Both in developed and developing countries disputes over intellectual property are unavoidable. In this context, Mr. Bijan Nasiri Azam, IFIA’s IP Office Manager declared that following pursuit of the IFIA President, between IFIA and WIPO a Joint project has been defined so that the services of the WIPO ADR section be introduced exclusively for member states in separate webinars.
Moreover, IFIA IP Section Manager informed that for this purpose a webinar will be held on November 30, where the officials of WIPO ADR Center will describe the relevant services to all IFIA members and the audience can ask their questions and obviate their ambiguities in this event.
The WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center offers time- and cost-efficient alternative dispute resolution (ADR) options, such as mediation, arbitration, expedited arbitration, and expert determination to enable private parties to settle their domestic or cross-border commercial disputes. The WIPO Center is international and specializes in IP and technology disputes. The WIPO Center is also the global leader in the provision of domain name dispute resolution services under the WIPO-designed UDRP.
