[Seoul, South Korea – November 4, 2023] The Seoul Convention Center COEX is abuzz with excitement as inventors, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders from 25 different countries gather for the prestigious Seoul International Invention Fair (SIIF). This year’s event took place from November 1 to November 4, 2023, marking the 19th edition of SIIF. Organized by the Korea Invention Promotion Association (KIPA) and held under the patronage of the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO), the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA), and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), SIIF continues to be a beacon of innovation excellence.
With 484 inventors and startups representing over 26 countries, the fair offers a remarkable array of innovative solutions spanning a wide spectrum of industries. Ranging from healthcare and energy to agriculture and information technology, SIIF presents a diverse range of inventions poised to shape the future.
The exhibition halls come to life as inventors proudly unveil their creations to an engaged audience. This year, AI technologies shine as the most prominent innovations on display.

Concluding the event, IFIA, as a major sponsor, bestowed two prestigious awards for the standout innovations of SIIF 2023. The IFIA Award Committee, after a thorough evaluation of all candidates for the IFIA Medal, has chosen the winners: “AVATOR (Automatic Vibration Monitor Calibrator),” developed by the PT PLN (Persero) – PUSLITBANG company from Indonesia, and the “Chlorine dioxide generator for vacreator,” created by Korea Environment Corporation & DMENTEC from South Korea. These selections were made in accordance with the committee’s rigorous criteria and recognizing the substantial impact of these inventions on their respective industries.
