Innovation by Women Takes Center Stage at KIWIE 2025

The 18th Korea International Women’s Invention Exposition (KIWIE 2025) was held from May 22 to 24 at Hall 10 of Exhibition Center 2, KINTEX, in Goyang, Republic of Korea. Organized by the Korea Women Inventors Association (KWIA) in collaboration with the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO), the event once again served as a prominent global stage for celebrating women’s innovation and ingenuity.

This year’s exposition featured an impressive 445 inventions presented by talented women inventors from 16 countries. Among them, 133 inventions were from Korea, while 312 inventions represented international participants, showcasing the truly global nature of the event.

KIWIE 2025 provided a powerful platform for women inventors to exhibit their groundbreaking ideas, connect with peers from around the world, and promote international cooperation in innovation and intellectual property.

Educational Program Enhances the Second Day

On the second day of the event, KIWIE 2025 featured a special educational program, offering valuable insights and practical knowledge to aspiring inventors and entrepreneurs. The session included the following topics:

• The Secrets Behind a Successful Brand
• Invention and Startup Journeys from Women Entrepreneurs
• Strategies for Intellectual Property Protection

Strong Institutional Support

As with previous editions, KIWIE 2025 was supported by a broad coalition of national ministries, international organizations, and regional authorities. Key supporters included the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA), and several ministries and institutions within Korea. Their support underscores the growing recognition of women’s contributions to science, technology, and entrepreneurship.

KIWIE 2025 was not only a celebration of innovation it was also a hub of inspiration, empowerment, and global exchange. As the world continues to embrace diversity in innovation, events like KIWIE play a crucial role in shaping a more inclusive and creative future.
