IFIA-ABIPIR partnership with one of the most important acceleration startups program
IFIA AND ABIPIR ESTABLISH PARTNERSHIP WITH INOVATIVA, THE LARGEST STARTUPS ACCELERATION PROGRAM IN LATIN AMERICA
InovAtiva is carried out by the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services, and SEBRAE Nacional and has already accelerated more than 3 thousand Startups.
The IFIA Startups Global Connection Program has gained a strong partner to fulfill the mission of connecting Startups from different countries within the IFIA platform, the InovAtiva hub.
The Hub has a series of products and programs for the entire Brazilian innovation ecosystem, from startup interference to connection events with ecosystem actors, making it a complete platform to support entrepreneurship in the Country.
InovAtiva is completing ten years in 2023 and has already contributed to the development of more than 3,500 innovative businesses across the country, impacting more than 14,000 entrepreneurs.
The IFIA Startups Global Connection Program with the support of InovAtiva will contribute to leveraging the business of Startups by identifying investors, customers, and business partners in other Countries through the selection for the composition of an international showcase of startups and holding events to connect with these potential partners, enabling thus its visibility and internationalization.
Like the IFIA Startups Global Connection Program, the program runned by InovAtiva in Brazil is free, equity-free, and run by local non-profit entities Fundação CERTI, ABStartups, and Impact Hub and offers methodological and project follow-up support, in partnership with the Wadhwani Foundation, in the Powered By InovAtiva program.
Currently, the Hub has the voluntary support of more than 1000 mentors and more than 50 leaders who, together with other relevant actors and members of the executing team, publicize manipulation cycles, training, events, open innovation laboratories, and business roundtables, in addition to several actions to regionalize opportunities, covering the most diverse demands of Brazilian ecosystems.
The IFIA Global Startups Connection Program, organized by the IFIA and carried out by the Latin American Office (LATAM) of IFIA-ABIPIR and the IFIA-Bharat Office in India, having as Coordinators Mariangela Lückmann, Director of the LATAM Office of IFIA-ABIPIR, Anand Kanan, Director of IFIA-BHARAT and Marcelo Vivacqua, member of the Executive Committee and Director of IFIA in LATAM will have the support of InovAtiva, represented by Amanda Ampessan Cavali, Manager of the events areas and InovAtiva community, to carry out the selection of 10 Startups Brazilians who will participate in the pilot project, in addition to disclosure on their official channels and joint realization of online presentations of Startups pitches.
The call for Startups to participate in the pilot project of the IFIA Startups Global Connection Program is scheduled to be launched in September, with 10 Brazilian Startups and 10 Indian Startups being selected based on pre-established criteria and the synergies identified in their business models and strategic scalability objectives that point to the possibility of establishing a “win-win” relationship.
The selected Startups will receive an international certificate that will correspond to a stamp of excellence from the IFIA-ABIPIR-InovAtiva that will serve as a facilitator to demonstrate greater resistance with investors, commercial partners, and customers.
After the validation and due improvements of the methodology of the Program completed with the completion of the pilot project, other calls will be made so that, year after year, the number of Startups connected can be increased and a reduction in the very high mortality rate will be perceived.
