Global Inventions (GI) was formed in 1994 and now has associate offices in UK, USA, Japan, India and Kenya. GI is committed to becoming an important catalyst in transforming conceptual ideas from designers, inventors and students into successful products assisting through combining their imagination with its provision of ‘3M’ (marketing, manufacturing and money) leading to improved confidence, personal recognition and financial gains.
GI specializes in high-volume, low-technology, innovative consumer items and patented inventions + mobile internet ideas distributing directly and indirectly to 38 countries through department stores, mail order companies and importers including Boots (UK), Coles Myers (Australia), Schneider (Germany), Wal-Mart (USA). The products typically retail for between US$5.00 to US$100.00 and include ‘as-seen-on-TV’ items, car accessories, clocks / watches, electrical, household, health & fitness, hardware, lighting, premium & gift products and toys.
GI is also a venture capital company seeking good opportunities to invest in as a hands-on partner. The technical board of GI advisors includes Professor Matthew Yuen (Hong Kong University of Science & Technology) and Philip Cheung (Hong Kong Institution of Vocational Education). GI uses experienced commercial advisors including 30 senior buyers from large department stores and mail-order businesses.
GI has participated in trade exhibitions over the past 22 years and has a database of approximately 4,000 buyers including many from internationally renowned retail organisations like Wal-Mart, Target, Tesco, Carrefour, Metro, etc
