Global Invention Forum in Cyprus 2019

During May 14-15, the Global Invention Forum was held in Cyprus, by organized under the patronage of International Federation of Inventors Association (IFIA) and support of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Invest Cyprus, Research & Innovation Foundation, and the International Innovation Club “Archimedes”.

In The Global Invention Forum opening ceremony of the forum Mr. Leonidas Antoniou, Director of Promotion and Advisory Services Unit Research and Innovation Foundation of Cyprus, Mrs. Monika Zikova (the Official Representative of WIPO) and Mr. Masoud Tajbakhsh (IFIA Academic Sector Coordinator) delivered their speech about the importance of expanding the culture of creativity and innovation.

55 innovative project from 20 countries (including Europe, Asia, and Africa) were showcased during the Forum.

During the Forum business program on May 14, the representatives from WIPO and IFIA shared their great experience in world invention and organization of patent-licensing activity with the participants and visitors at the Forum venue (The Grand Hall at Grand Resort Limassol).

At the Forum Closing Ceremony, the participants were awarded with gold, silver and bronze medals as well as with the special prizes. The Grand Prix of the Forum “For the complex of presented developments” was awarded to a collaborative delegation of inventors of the Republic of Taiwan.

Mr. Zlatko Pankov, the inventor of the Republic of North Macedonia, was awarded the Medal of the International Federation of Inventions Associations for his invention which is «Glamping tent with wooden construction and natural air-conditioning ».
