EMPOWERING YOUTH INNOVATION: SHAPING THE FUTURE THROUGH SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
IFIA and ABIPIR Highlight the Importance of Inspiring Youth Engagement with Science, Technology, and Innovation for the Future of Our Planet
Once again, Mr. Marcelo Vivacqua had the honor of contributing as a member of the Judging Committee for the Global Innovation Challenge, proudly representing both the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA), where he serves as Director for Latin America, and ABIPIR (Brazilian International Association of Inventors, Scientists, and Innovative Entrepreneurs), of which he is the founder and President.
This outstanding program is organized by the Global Innovation Field Trip (GIFT) under the leadership of Juli Shively and Jake Mendelssohn, two dedicated and forward-thinking innovators. To learn more about this exceptional initiative, visit: www.innovationworld.org/gift-home.
The participation of students of all ages in global initiatives like GIFT offers them a unique platform to share their innovative ideas, inventions, and scientific projects with the world. Regardless of the stage of their projects, these young inventors can connect with a global community of creative minds, receive invaluable feedback, and expand their horizons. By promoting this exchange of knowledge and experience, children and young people not only develop a strong sense of belonging to a global network but also unlock opportunities for collaboration that can turn ideas into real-world solutions.
Parents and educators play a vital role in this process, as they are often the first to identify and nurture the creative potential of young minds. By encouraging participation in international programs like this, they help to cultivate not only technical skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and innovation but also essential socio-emotional skills like empathy, teamwork, and resilience.
These competencies are crucial for success in any field, and the experience of presenting projects to a global audience builds confidence and ambition in the next generation of innovators.
Encouraging youth innovation is also a strategic priority for nations, as today’s young innovators are tomorrow’s inventors, scientists, engineers, doctors, veterinarians, and other professionals who will create solutions to improve life on Earth.
IFIA, under the leadership of President Mr. Alireza Rastegar, and ABIPIR strongly support initiatives like these, believing that the future depends on education, science, technology, and innovation with a central focus on people.
