47th Geneva International Inventions exhibition
The 47th Geneva International Inventions exhibition took place in Palexpo’s Hall 7 from 10 April to 14, 2019, under the patronage of the Federal government of Switzerland, the State, the city of Geneva, The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and International Federation of Inventor’s Association members with the presence of 825 exhibitors from 42 countries. Moreover,30’850 visitors walked along the paths for the 9’000 square meters to convene during period of exhibition.
10th of April was inaugurated by the Federal Counselor, Geneva’s authorities, IFIA President, Mr.Alireza Rastgar, WIPO general director, Mr. Francis Gary, and Mr. Jean-Luc VINCENT. 1’000 new inventions from private and public sectors of companies, universities, and product inventions were brought in the event and a great attraction of visitors from outside the competition was witnessed.
A worthwhile opportunity of networking for those who took part was made by the manufacturers, business administrators, promoters, financiers, clients, from various sorts both domestic and worldwide. The exhibitors caught each chance to expose what they had made from their scientific exploration to expert business visitors, worldwide journalist from the media and the people generally in order to make money and benefit from what they had invested by ensuring and building up their invention through the discussion over licenses.
Like the past years, the presentation of exciting advancements, the great participation of exhibitors from different nations, the presence of organizations, Universities, commercializing groups, and the journalists made the further accomplishments of the occasion. Some of the main features of this year exhibition included the outstanding presence of startups, showcasing a prototype of a real invention, modifying a platform of the prizes stage, and delivering scientific conference and seminar on the margin of the event by WIPO for the inventors.
IFIA’s Best International Invention Medal was granted to Mr.E.David,I.steanscu from INSTITUTUL NATIONAL DE CERCETARE-DEZVOLTARE PENTRU CRIOGENI SI TEHNOLOGII IZOTOPICE, INC-DTCI-ICSI, Romania for a post-synthesis activation process. IFIA’s Best Invention Medal was granted to Mr. LEE,Sang-hoon for her invention is Baby Car Seat with Multi-Directional Suspension.
