IFIA-ABIPIR LATAM OFFICE HOSTS BRICS ACADEMY AGENDA TO BUILD STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS IN BRAZIL
With the aim of deepening bilateral relations between Brazil and China two nations with a long-standing history of collaboration across various domains the IFIA-ABIPIR Office in Latin America, under the coordination of its Head and Director of Education and Events, Mrs. Mariangela Lückmann, organized a high-level agenda to welcome the President of the BRICS Academy, Dr. Liu Zhenying.
BRICS Academy: Advancing Technological Education through International Collaboration
The BRICS Academy, represented in Latin America by ABIPIR (Brazilian International Association of Inventors, Scientists, and Innovative Entrepreneurs), is a private, non-profit organization that has consistently promoted technological education through academic exchange programs and institutional partnerships. Among its key initiatives is the BRICS Technology Standardization Program, led by the “BRICS Committee of Experts,” which develops curricula, skill sets, and competition regulations for technological events.

Visit to the City of Knowledge, Cognopolis
Dr. Liu Zhenying began her visit in Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná, at the “City of Knowledge” (Cognopolis), an innovative scientific community founded by researcher Waldo Vieira (1932–2015). The site is home to researchers, writers, and members of the International Cosmoethical Conscientiological Community (CCCI), who are dedicated to consciousness studies and intermissive planning.

Strengthening Regional Innovation through the Iguassu Valley
Next on the agenda was a visit to the Iguassu Valley innovation ecosystem, also located in Foz do Iguaçu. This forward-looking city is internationally recognized not only for its iconic natural wonders such as the Iguaçu Falls, one of the Seven Modern Wonders of the World but also for its dynamic governance model that unites government institutions, academia, businesses, startups, development agencies, and innovation hubs.
A Letter of Intent was signed during this visit, aimed at fostering joint efforts in science, technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

Academic Partnerships with UNILA
The delegation also visited the Federal University for Latin American Integration (UNILA), where academic exchange and research collaboration opportunities were explored. A preliminary Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed as a framework for upcoming joint initiatives.

Engagement in Cascavel – An Emerging Industrial Hub
The final day of the visit included a strategic stop in Cascavel, a key industrial center in western Paraná. Meetings were held with government authorities, academic institutions, business leaders, and representatives of the BRICS Academy. These discussions led to the identification of multiple synergy points for future cooperation in science, technology, innovation, education, and business development.
A formal MoU between the City Hall of Cascavel, the BRICS Academy, and ABIPIR its regional representative will soon be signed.
