IFIA and ABIPIR Support the BRICS Academy Competition
In alignment with its mission to promote initiatives in science, technology, innovation, inventiveness, and education that contribute to a better world for all, IFIA, represented by its President Alireza Rastegar, and ABIPIR, through the “Brazil-China Cooperation Hub” led by its founder and President Marcelo Vivacqua, together with the BRICS Academy represented by Dr. Liu Zhenying, Chairman of the BRICS Skills Standardization Working Committee, proudly support the BRICS Competition for Skills Development, Technology, and Innovation.
Our goal is to strengthen and explore cooperation with colleges, universities, enterprises, and institutions from BRICS plus Belt and Road countries in the fields of skills development, technology, innovation, and talent cultivation. We aim to promote the high-quality development of education and facilitate international integration between industry and education.
To this end, we are organizing a series of 2024 BRICS plus Belt and Road Events on Skills Development and Technology Innovation from November 15th to 25th, 2024. We warmly invite you to:
1- Participate in the World Exhibition on Vocational and Technical Education 2024 – BRICS plus Belt & Road Vocational and Technical Education Development Thematic Exhibition (Nov. 21-23);
2- Present at the Belt & Road and BRICS High-Quality Innovation and Development Forum on the Integration of Industry and Education (Nov. 21-23);
3- Attend the Signing Ceremony of Cooperation between Chinese and BRICS institutions for Training Base (BRICS Workshop) Construction;
4- Attend the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the 2024 BRICS Competitions and visit host institutions, colleges, and universities between (Nov. 15-25).
This competition in China’s division covers 24 skills, with a focus on intelligent manufacturing, artificial intelligence, digital technology, and emerging industries. The goal is to enhance the innovation, coordination, organization, and cooperation capabilities of young professionals and students. The event aims to enrich cooperation between vocational institutions and enterprises and promote high-quality vocational education among BRICS plus countries.

– Participation Registration: September, 2024
– Online Training Camp: October, 2024
– Finals Competition: November – December, 2024
– Format of Competition: Primarily offline participation with an online option for international teams
Registration for the Next Edition
Registration for the Next Edition:
– Teachers, students, and working professionals aged 18 to 35 are eligible to participate.
– Teams must register based on their country. Each BRICS Business Council Skills Development, Applied Technology, and Innovation Working Group will facilitate registration for their respective BRICS countries. If you are applying from Brazil, Russia, India, South Africa, or other BRICS plus countries, please contact your local BRICS STIWG to apply.
– More competitors and experts are welcome, with a maximum of 10 teams per skill from each country. Each team comprises competitors and one expert.
When the registration for the next edition opens, announcements will be made on IFIA’s website. IFIA is one of the main supporters of this competition, alongside ABIPIR through the Brazil-China Cooperation Hub.
