The 51st International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva, held from March 11 to 15, 2026, at Palexpo, once again demonstrated its global leadership as a premier for invention and technological advancement. In a year marked by global uncertainty, the exhibition stood resilient, attracting participation from over 35 countries and regions and showcasing more than 1,000 groundbreaking inventions to an audience exceeding 30,000 visitors.

This year’s edition placed a strong emphasis on the next generation of innovators, highlighting not only technological excellence but also the growing importance of youth engagement, interdisciplinary collaboration, and sustainable development.

A defining highlight of the 2026 edition was the launch of the Youth Lab and the “Young Talents” competition, designed for participants aged 4 to 18.

The junior Grand Prix was awarded to Aljawharah Alqahtani (Saudi Arabia) for PulMind, an AI-powered system that enhances respiratory disease monitoring and early risk detection. This initiative reflects a strategic shift toward nurturing innovation at an early age and building future ecosystems of creativity and problem-solving.

Interactive workshops and hands-on activities further enriched the experience, making science and innovation accessible, engaging, and inspiring for young audiences.

The prestigious Grand Prix of the 2026 exhibition was awarded to THE OASIS ONE INTERNATIONAL LIMITED (Hong Kong SAR) for its advanced sustainable aquaculture system.

This innovation integrates genetics, biosecurity, and optimized water management to revolutionize marine fish farming offering a scalable, environmentally responsible solution to global food security challenges.

The exhibition continued to serve as a convergence point for academia, industry, and startups. The Swiss Pavilion showcased national excellence, while cutting-edge demonstrations including humanoid robotics and exploratory science presentations captivated both professionals and the general public.

A Gathering of the World’s Brightest Innovators

The 18th edition of INTARG® – International Invention and Innovation Show was successfully held from June 3 to 5, 2025, at the International Congress Centre in Katowice, Poland. Organized under the theme “We Support Innovativeness on the Way to Success”, this year’s event once again confirmed INTARG’s status as one of the most prestigious invention fairs in Europe and an influential hub for global innovation. 

INTARG® 2025 was organized under the honorary patronage of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), with strong support from the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA), the Ministry of Development and Technology of Poland, and the Mayor of Katowice. The event attracted innovators, researchers, entrepreneurs, universities, R&D institutions, and representatives from business and industry from over 20 countries.

As a hybrid event, INTARG® provided an inclusive platform for both in-person and online participants to present their technologies, attend panel sessions, and engage in international matchmaking. Innovation by Women Takes Center Stage at KIWIE 2025  

The 18th Korea International Women’s Invention Exposition (KIWIE 2025) was held from May 22 to 24 at Hall 10 of Exhibition Center 2, KINTEX, in Goyang, Republic of Korea. Organized by the Korea Women Inventors Association (KWIA) in collaboration with the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO), the event once again served as a prominent global stage for celebrating women’s innovation and ingenuity.

This year’s exposition featured an impressive 445 inventions presented by talented women inventors from 16 countries. Among them, 133 inventions were from Korea, while 312 inventions represented international participants, showcasing the truly global nature of the event.

KIWIE 2025 provided a powerful platform for women inventors to exhibit their groundbreaking ideas, connect with peers from around the world, and promote international cooperation in innovation and intellectual property.

The 16th International Fair on Innovations in Agriculture, Food Industry, and Agricultural Machinery (AGRO ARCA 2025) was successfully held from May 15 to 17, 2025, at the Višnjik Sports Center in Zadar, Croatia. The event was jointly organized by the Croatian Union of Innovators, in collaboration with the City of Zadar, Zadar County, and the University of Zadar.

This year’s edition of AGRO ARCA brought together more than 130 innovations presented by over 200 inventors from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Slovenia, Hungary, North Macedonia, Poland, Iran, Indonesia, South Korea, and Thailand. Notably, a substantial portion of the showcased innovations originated from young inventors including elementary and secondary school students, as well as university students from across Croatia highlighting a strong culture of youth-driven innovation.

The 50th edition of the International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva, held from April 9 to 13, 2025, at Palexpo, marked a historic milestone in the global innovation community. With a record-breaking 1,043 inventions from 42 countries and regions, and more than 28,000 visitors, this jubilee edition reaffirmed Geneva’s reputation as a premier global platform for inventive excellence​.

The event’s vibrant atmosphere was enhanced by the presence of a Swiss Pavilion, representing the dynamism of Swiss innovation, and an interactive program filled with family-oriented scientific workshops led by institutions such as CERN, EPFL, and the University of Geneva. Notably, the European Space Agency (ESA) served as the guest of honour, offering inspiring exhibitions and lectures including a special address by astronaut Jean-François Clervoy highlighting the role of space-driven technologies in everyday life.

The International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA) played a visible role during the five-day event. As a globally recognized advocate for innovation and inventor support, IFIA facilitated numerous high-level meetings with inventors and heads of member associations. The Exhibition’s Grand Prize was awarded to Dr. Saad Alenezi, a Saudi ophthalmologist, for inventing a cost-effective surgical tool for cataract operations. This innovative device enables the creation of a precise and cauterized circular opening in the anterior lens capsule a vital step in cataract surgery. It represents a significant breakthrough for millions of patients in low-resource regions where access to laser technology is limited.

As part of its continued efforts to spotlight breakthrough innovations with exceptional social, technological, or economic impact, IFIA awarded two prestigious IFIA Best Invention Medals during the closing ceremony of the exhibition:

Invention: Bio-MXenes – biohacking precision diagnostics 2D material-based electrochemical biosensor for enzyme-free microRNA biomarker detection

BRICS-Inventions opens for registrations from June 1st to July 31st, 2026

Each organization endeavors to respect its members, and considering the high status of innovators within IFIA, the federation strives to give them special recognition. Based on this approach, IFIA decided to hold an online event in 2021 with the enthusiastic participation of INV Title Holders. Now, IFIA is going to hold the 6th Edition of the International Invention and Innovation Competition for all IFIA INV Title Holders who have obtained the INV Title Certificate from around the world.

The main goal of organizing this event is to praise and honor IFIA INV title holders and to expand the culture of invention and innovation. This event is designed for inventors from all over the world who have received the INV Title and the INV Certificate from the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA) in Switzerland. Eligible inventors can register for this worldwide fair free of charge.

*Please note that each INV title holder is allowed to submit only one invention to this event.

The 6th international competition for inventors and innovators will be held virtually and online from 3 to 5 July 2026 for the INV Title Holders from all around the world.
The registration deadline for this event is June 10, 2026, and applications submitted after the registration deadline will not be accepted.

Applications without a valid Google Drive link or with restricted access will not be reviewed.

Only IFIA INV Title Holders are eligible to register in the 6th edition who have gained the INV title from all around the world. 

The inventions and innovations will be presented to the International Jury of IFIA, which consists of 35 judges from 30 countries, and they will evaluate the applications submitted for the event.

After reviewing all of the applications, the jury will announce the results, and the applicants will be notified of the decisions. Finally, if the required quorum is obtained based on the judging criteria, gold, silver, and bronze medals would be presented to the best inventions and innovations participating in the competition.

All winners in this event will receive a certificate (Gold, Silver and Bronze) issued by IFIA via e-mail enrolled at the time of registration in electronic format. If the winners want to receive the original certificate, they would have to proceed through the local federation representatives in their countries participating in this event.

It should be noted that the results of the competition and the type of medal will be stated in the electronic certificate. There will not be a physical medal whatsoever.

In 2025, the participants of the Salon were representatives of 272 organizations from 28 states and 30 regions of the Russian Federation, who demonstrated to the general scientific and technical community about 570 innovative projects and inventions, 198 of them were provided by foreign authors and patent holders.

The Salon “Archimedes” is an ideal launch pad for new breakthrough inventions and technologies to enter the market. According to statistics, every 2nd exhibit presented at the Salon finds its investor and consumer, which undoubtedly demonstrates the effectiveness of the Salon.

Results of intellectual activities presented at the Salon “Archimedes” in person or in absentia will be selected and evaluated by the Expert Commission and the International Jury. “Dasis” is a name given to King “Ravana”, who probably is one of the greatest inventors of our history. The most popular invention of him is the “Dandu Monara”, the wooden plane. As a nation, we have so much to get inspired by from our rich heritage. Hence we gave the name “Dasis” for the award. It defines the ten heads of king “Ravana” to symbolize the observational capability of inventors and the knowledge that is all-pervasive. These ten heads are depicted graphically at the center of the trophy. The two wings on either side represent the imagination of inventors and the wheels show how they give wings to ideas through technology.

In Thailand Inventors’ Day, an international pavilion is set up for exhibiting the potential and interesting invention and innovation of international inventors/innovators. This exhibition is known as Bangkok International Intellectual Property, Invention, Innovation and Technology Exposition (IPITEx) which will be held in Thailand Inventors’ Day during 5th – 9th January 2026 of every year, to create the collaboration between Thai and international inventors/organizations.

The Cabinet resolved on 10 May 1994, to declare 2 February of every year as the Inventors’ Day in Thailand, to commemorate the achievement of His Majesty the King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the Father of Thai Invention, in inventing the “Low-Speed Surface Aerator” or the so-called “Chaipattana Aerator”. On 14 August 2001, NRCT has been assigned to be the leading agency, coordinating with other government agencies and the private sector to organize Thailand Inventors’ Day. Since then the event has been held to open the floor to all Thai and international inventors to exhibit and promote their inventions, new products or new techniques as well as to share experiences among themselves. Therefore, the fruitful commercialization and cooperation in research, invention and innovation will be operated effectively.
