The IFIA-ABIPIR LATAM Office proudly highlights the success of the first phase of the 15th edition of InnovaCities – International Fair of Smart, Happy, Human and Resilient Cities, a landmark initiative dedicated to fostering sustainable innovation, international collaboration, and impactful solutions for global challenges.

This first stage, focused on academic and institutional engagement, brought together representatives from Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay in a dynamic and multidisciplinary environment. The program featured the Smart Cities and Innovation Ecosystems Forum, an Academic Exhibition of Innovative Projects, and a special Women’s Entrepreneurship Meeting, creating a vibrant platform for dialogue, knowledge exchange, and partnership building.

The Academic Exhibition showcased the work of researchers, academic inventors, and startups presenting innovative and practical solutions across diverse sectors. These contributions reinforced the role of science, technology, and entrepreneurship in addressing real-world challenges with creativity and impact.

Once again, NAPI Trinacional is making its presence felt at Innova Cities, the event that brings together diverse stakeholders from the tri-national region to discuss the challenges, opportunities, and perspectives of urban development.

A unique space for exchange and collective building, allowing us to envision the present and future of our cities from an integrated perspective shared by Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay.

Participants included council members from Puerto Iguazú, municipal officials from the four towns (Foz, Ciudad del Este, Franco, and Puerto), and national deputies (Argentina). Representatives from five universities in the region, members of three development councils and Codetri, students, and businesspeople were also present.

A particularly inspiring moment was the Women’s Entrepreneurship Meeting, where entrepreneurs shared experiences, strengthened networks, and expanded opportunities for collaboration and visibility of their businesses, reinforcing the importance of inclusion and diversity in innovation ecosystems.

The International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA), in collaboration with ABIPIR and international partners, proudly participated in InnovaCities 2026, held in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil. The event brought together key stakeholders from across the Trinational Region (Brazil, Paraguay, and Argentina), reinforcing the importance of innovation, entrepreneurship, and international cooperation.

Hanoi, Vietnam – In a move to propel Vietnam to the forefront of Southeast Asian innovation and startups, the Research Institute of Creative Education (RICE) and the Institute of Innovation Research and Attribute Verification (RIVA) in Hanoi have signed a groundbreaking Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IFIA Bharat, the Indian chapter of the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA). This strategic partnership, facilitated by Startup Global Connect, unites Vietnamese educational excellence with a worldwide network of inventors and entrepreneurs.

With the addition of Mr. Marcos Tito, an Artificial Intelligence specialist, as the Program Advisor, and the collaboration of Mr. Andrio Correa, the developer, under the guidance of Mr. Rodrigo Grossi, the digital platform hosting the program will incorporate Generative Artificial Intelligence resources (ChatGPT). The International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA) has undertaken another innovative initiative under the leadership of President Alireza Rastegar, aiming to enhance the organization’s connection with modernity.

This initiative involves the signing of an accreditation contract with the Brazilian startup “Startups Global Link,” led by manager and co-founder Mr. Rodrigo Grossi. The purpose is to execute the “IFIA-ABIPIR Global Startups Acceleration Program Link.”

The program will be coordinated by the Latin American Office of IFIA-ABIPIR in São Paulo, Brazil. Mr. Marcelo Vivacqua serves as the Director in Latin America, with Mr. Danilo Melo as Head.

According to the terms established in the contract, the startup will be responsible for all aspects of implementation, management, monitoring, and accountability related to the program, following ethical and transparent conduct outlined in the IFIA statute.

The project-managing startup aims to ensure sustainability by offering a subscription-based “Premium” membership. This membership entitles startups to various advantages, such as active prospecting by the “Global Innovation Scouting” Department, seeking potential investors, customers, and commercial partners across countries represented by IFIA. 

Additionally, “Premium” members will enjoy discounts on products and services from the program’s partner companies, as well as on courses and business matchmaking activities, including virtual meetings with investors and customers. Face-to-face activities and consultations will be conducted by Startup Business Specialists affiliated with the program.

The startup’s success will be reflected in its ability to cover marketing costs related to program publicity. This contribution is expected to expand IFIA’s reach in various segments of the global innovation ecosystem, enhancing its recognition and perceived value in supporting inventors, scientists, and startups. The ultimate goal is to contribute to making the world a better place for everyone through the innovations developed by these key players.

The program was officially launched in November during the meeting of the Committee of Leaders of Business Mobilization for Innovation, a part of the National Confederation of Industry. The event drew over 100 attendees, including distinguished figures such as the Vice-President of Brazil, Mr. Geraldo Alckmin, and the President of the CNI, Mr. Ricardo Alban. IFIA and ABIPIR hold seats on the Business Mobilization for Innovation Leaders Committee. 

The Business Mobilization for Innovation is a movement designed to encourage innovative strategies among Brazilian companies and enhance the efficacy of policies supporting innovation through constructive and enduring dialogue between the private sector, academia, and the public sector.

The IFIA-ABIPIR International Startup Acceleration Program, established by the IFIA Startups Department, will be executed by the Brazilian Startup “Startups Global Link,” co-founded by Mr. Rodrigo Grossi. Its primary mission is to contribute to reducing the high mortality rates of startups by facilitating connections with startups, investors, and clients (companies, governments, academia) from other countries. This three-day event brought together a dynamic amalgamation of startups, venture capitalists, and innovation enthusiasts from across the nation. The pinnacle of the event arrived on the closing day when Anand Kannan, the National Director of IFIA Bharat, in conjunction with Mr. Soumanil Mukherjee from the office of the Principal Scientific Adviser (PSA), engaged in a pivotal meeting with Mr. N.S. InovAtiva is completing ten years in 2023 and has already contributed to the development of more than 3,500 innovative businesses across the country, impacting more than 14,000 entrepreneurs.

The call for Startups to participate in the pilot project of the IFIA Startups Global Connection Program is scheduled to be launched in September, with 10 Brazilian Startups and 10 Indian Startups being selected based on pre-established criteria and the synergies identified in their business models and strategic scalability objectives that point to the possibility of establishing a “win-win” relationship.
The selected Startups will receive an international certificate that will correspond to a stamp of excellence from the IFIA-ABIPIR-InovAtiva that will serve as a facilitator to demonstrate greater resistance with investors, commercial partners, and customers.

We are AIC CVRCEF a pro-ecosystem incubator, handholding the ideas to go commercial for more than two years. We have grown appreciably with the partners and stakeholders from all stages and roles to give the right impetus to the startup and innovation ecosystem in Odisha. To give it a little more emphasis we seek veterans from all around to come and club here to help us organize more and better to bring the Eastern India Startup Hub into shape and get distinct with an agenda soon.  

To instigate a buzz about East Startup Hub, Atal Incubation Centre, C V Raman Global University (AIC CGU, Bhubaneswar) is planning to have a day packed with stakeholders on our campus and brainstorm to bring more strategic and tangible dots to size various verticals of stake holding in the innovation ecosystem and create the right funnel to produce the successful startups and the HUB.
