The focus will be on accelerating transformation through important entry points and enabling science to support this acceleration.\nThe Malaysia Technology Expo (MTE) 2023: Sustainable Development Goals International Innovation Awards & Expo (SDG IIAE) is the first in the region focused on recognizing innovations\, initiatives\, programmes and ideas which contribute to sustainability\, eradicating poverty\, improving well-being\, protecting our planet\, and building peace and prosperity. \n The event returns on 18-20 October 2023 and will be held virtually. In 2022\, the awards received 217 innovation entries from Hong Kong\, the Philippines\, Taiwan\, Thailand\, China\, the UK\, the US\, Yemen\, Arab Saudi\, Indonesia\, Iran\, and Malaysia; with 186 entries shortlisted. 80 Gold\, 58 Silver\, and 16 Bronze medals were awarded to participants who competed in 5 main categories\, embracing all 17 SDGs. It includes a number of competitions and events with the aim of motivating and encouraging inventors around the world. \nCIF Qatar 2021 has two main competitions\, which are the exhibition for Best Inventions\, and Hackathon. \nThe best inventions competition aims to showcase individual inventors’ projects for the first two days\, then the participants will be divided into groups where they will compete to develop their unique ideas from scratch to a startup within just 48 hours.
